Mirror frame with persian style PDF Print E-mail

The Persian ornaments are my favourite. Their unbelievably rich world of motifs and the harmony of the decorated surfaces are really fascinating. It offers a distinguished opportunity to decorate high-class spaces. It reflects luxury and splendour and summons the materialistic and intellectual richness of the fabulous east.

You can find cupolas of immaculate white marble, covered by turquoise faience; arches decorated with arabesque and floral patterns; slender minarets; miniatures with lovers withdrawing into shady gardens and youngsters hunting from horseback; and variegated flower compositions which appear on enamel paintings. These can be the most distinguishing features of this opulent and luxurious, subtle and decorative art which is identified as the Persian style.

Magical places appear in our imagination: Isfahan which is famous for its mosques and its palaces; characteristic ribbed cupolas towering into the sky in Buhara and Samarkand, Lahore and Shalimar garden; Delhi’s Red Fort of Agra that is also called ‘earthly heaven’; and of course the wonderful Tadzs Mahal of Agra as emerging from the dawn fog.

From Iran up into India's heart, architects, landscape sculptors, calligraphers and carpet weavers passed on the Persian tradition, which made this ancient civilisation immortal.

I can recommend the ornaments and surfaces with Persian decoration to romantics and to the ones who like luxury.
